Luciano Guglielmo Andreoli (also known as LuGu) studied piano, organ, violin, singing and composition.He graduated with honours from the Conservatory G. Verdi, has added even musical pedagogy and psychology studies, and won a scholarship of technique, interpretation, and music education for the singing of Italian-Spanish Institution "MUSICA Y ARTE in Madrid. He specialized in vocal technique and musical education with the teacher Pilar Lafarga y Ferrer and for interpretation with the singers: Gino Bechi, Elio Battaglia, Alfredo Kraus, Samuel Ramey. Debuts in the “Maestro di cappella” by Domenico Cimarosa and interprets the Verdi roles of Pyrrhus from “I Lombardi alla prima crociata”, the priest of Belo from “Nabucco”, the doctor from “La Traviata”, the father guardian from “La forza del destino”, then Haly from Rossini's “Italiana in Algeri”, Don Giovanni and il Commendatore from Mozart's “Don Giovanni”, Verdi's “Attila” and the works, “Ernani”, “Simon Boccanegra”, “Masnadieri”. Since 1993 he has collaborated with the Teatro alla Scala as first bass and soloist, where among the countless performances, he interprets the Amico Friz from Verdi's "Stiffelio" with Josè Carreras, "La forza del Destino" directed by M° Muti with Leo Nucci, the Officer of the Holy Office in "Don Carlo", Le spectre de Corebo from "Les Troyens" by Berlioz and is among the performers of "Der Rosenkavalier" by Richard Straus For the Consulate of Austria he sings in absolute premiere the "Te Deum" by G. Setti and the "Requiem" by K. Sonnenfeld. For the 50th anniversary of the reconstruction of the Monastery of Santa Chiara, in Naples, he sang the "Requiem" by W. A. Mozart, performed on other occasions in many Lombard churches including the basilica of San Marco in Milan. In 1996 at gli Amici del Loggione del Teatro alla Scala, follows the master class of the tenor Alfredo Kraus, acquiring and confirming the technical knowledge. In 1997 and 2003 the meeting with bass Samuel Ramey allowed him to expand and enrich his skills and his repertoire.In 2009 performs a series of solo concerts in Japan, in the cities of Tokyo, Yokohama and Kyoto receiving great acclaim. Awarded by the radio program "Ugole a diocotto carati" he is invited to celebrations for "Carlo Bergonzi and the Teatro alla Scala" and collaborates with the humane society to the concert cycle "Profumo d'Opera" intervening in the courses on lyric opera, as an exponent of deep vocality.Under the mentorhip of M° R. Gabbiani he perfected the Winterreise (Winter Journey), a cycle of twenty-four Lieder by F. Schubert.He participated in the historical/musical reportage of the Brazilian composer Carlos Gomes singing the arias drawn from his works under the guidance of director Giovanni Fornasieri. For the International Congress "Loving Human Love" on assignment of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute, he sang at the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome. On the occasion of Verdi's bicentenary, he sang at the Teatro alla Scala in the role of the Sicario in "Macbeth" (G. Verdi) directed by M° V. Giergiev and the M° G. Morandi, and the Soldat from the monumental opera "Les Troyens" (H. Berlioz) directed by M° A. Pappano.On the occasion of Verdi's bicentenary, he sangs at the Teatro alla Scala interpreting the Sicario in Macbeth (G. Verdi) directed by the M° V. Giergiev and the M° G. Morandi, and the Soldat from the monumental opera Les Troyens (H. Berlioz) directed by M° A. Pappano. In 2011 he sang for Ennio Morricone's "Musica per il Cinema" under his direction. He was invited to Baku (Azerbaijan) for the inauguration of the New Emporium of Italian High Fashion. From 1997 to 2012 he was vice-president of the Board of Directors of the La Scala Philharmonic Choir Association. He was a teacher of opera singing at the C.I.M. - Civico Istituto Musicale until 2015. He was the creator and artistic coordinator at the L.C.M. Association - Lago di Como in Musica from 2015 to 2023. He is a teacher of opera singing at: the Gaetano Donizetti Academy since 2019 and at the Rossini Musical Institute since 2022. He sang under the direction of the masters: L. Maazel, R. Muti, V. Giergiev, D. Barenboim, G. Morandi, K. Masur, Z. Metha, R.Chailly. Among the various foreign tour with the Teatro alla Scala, in particular there' s the one in 2016 in Seoul (South Korea) and Shanghai (China), directed by M.° M. Chung, and in Moscow (Russia) directed by M° R. Chailly, is worthy of note. Since 2018, at the invitation of the Thames Philharmonia Orchestra of London, he is an interpreter at the Christmas Concerts which are held every 8 December in the United Kingdom at the “South Hill House” and the “Newmollden URC Church”. Following the success achieved, he was invited on June 8, 2019 to participate in the "East Meets West Arts Festival" event held in the elegant Auditorium of Buxted Park in London.He carries out teaching, correction/relaxation and research activities for the maintenance of the natural vocal technique, dedicating himself with particular passion to helping young people and professionals, through his own technical/interpretative and innovative knowledge through Master Classes and specific courses.In addition to the didactic/artistic activity, thanks to the teachings of M° A. Ambrosi, he devotes himself to musical composition, creating various works, preferring instruments such as violin, piano and organ. Currently commissioned by the heirs of an Italian composer (of the same age as Verdi) he is transcribing and adapting an opera to the piano which will be made public soon.
